Recap: Galactic Get Down Pre-Party

It was pretty hard to come back to Earth after attending the space themed gathering known as Galactic Get Down Music Festival. Nestled in the hills of Houston, Minnesota, GGD gave earthlings a chance to get away from the real world for three days and celebrate a weekend of music, art, dance and near heat exhaustion. The festival pre-party was held Thursday, July 18. Gates opened at 3 p.m. and cell phone service was no more.
John Merhen joined Joe Scarpellino for “The Smokin’ Joe Show” live from GGD. The rest of the night consisted of live music from Karate Chop, Silence, Whiskey for the Lady, Splimit, Big Zach, Flowstate, Goop City and Lifted Mindz. Space Monster closed out the Pre-Party and ended just in time for attendees to make it back into their tents before it began to storm.
