Wubmama releases her second single, “Mind Control” [Overview]

Wubmama, born Courtney Stillwell, is a heavy bass artist operating out of Seattle, WA. Yesterday, the self-taught and self-made artist released her second single, ”Mind Control.”

“Completing this project was so exciting for me,” said Wubmama. “As well as being humbled by dropping it on the record label.” The track was released under Finland based label Ay Yo Trip!  “Mind Control” is her second track, which follows her September release, “Evil.” Her sound reflects similar styles of HE$H, Figure and 2FAC3D.

Wubmama only began to produce only six months ago. She has kept busy during the shutdown and has worked towards perfecting her craft. The artist has performed on various live streams and even designed her own merchandise and released a limited-edition selection for “Mind Control.” As an independent artist, Wubmama dreams of signing with Never Say Die Records or Disciple Recordings, representing artists such as 12th Planet, Modstep and Phase One. Currently, she looks forward to her first EP and a sense of normalcy for her to pursue her live music dreams.

“I hope one day to inspire other women who want to get into music and spread the message to always follow your dreams and never give up,” said Wubmama.

There’s no doubt that this track intends to break the rail. Wubmama describes “Mind Control” as “a unique, heavy bass track, with melodic and experimental influences.” The song maintains intense energy through and through yet still brings the listener on a journey through various sounds.
