Von Tramps to “Get Down” at Galactic themed festival

If you’re looking to channel your inner punk rock chick at Galactic Get Down, then you HAVE to check out The Von Tramps. Jenna Enemy and Chelsea Oxbourough are the founders of the female powerhouse group based out of the Twin Cities. Touring members of the band include Krissandra Anfinson: Bass and Kieran O’Donoghue: Drums.

The Von Tramps released its first full length album, “The Future is Female” in March of this year. The two retreated to a cabin in the woods in 2017 and began the creative process. What came of it was an album capturing the hardships of life from a positive, female agenda.

The reviews are hot off their Facebook “About me” section and couldn’t be more relatable.

Your music is really good honey.” — Jenna Enemy’s Mom

“The Von Tramps: kinda like green day without wieners.”  — Drunk guy in gray shirt at CC Club

“I don’t really get it, but I’m glad you’re doing it.” — Guy with medium build vaping at a St. Paul gas station.

If their lady love and real-talk reviews aren’t enough to make you fall in love with The Von Tramps, watch this Superbowl edition of their music video for “14B.”

What’s cool about these chicks is that they have hometown pride with a long list of accomplishments. Their first EP, “Fast and Loose” was released in 2015. The single (of the same name) was played on national radio and an official video was released the following year. With that release came “Tramp Camp,” the groups “street team” where members were given the opportunity to be creative minds for The Von Tramps. Members or “trampers,” can attend free music industry related seminars, design merch or even appear on stage with The Von Tramps. It’s a way for them to give back while also teaching their fans what they love best.

After Galactic Get Down, The Von Tramps will play August 25 at Can Can Wonderland in St. Paul, September 22 at Fem Fest in Duluth and September 25 at Tramp Jam in Pequot Lakes. Check them out on Spotify, Band Camp and on their website, www.thevontramps.com.
