Originating in Jamacia in the 1940s and 50s, folks would build speaker systems to bring music to the streets. The phenomenon then took over the UK and the United States making a significant impact on electronic music and hip-hop. Today, folks like Head Inna Bin keep the traditions alive with their passion for sound and the underground.

On January 17, we heard from Paul, Jonas, and Nate of Head Inna Bin. The trio talked about the good, the bad, the funny, and what “sound system culture” means to them. 

The episode has two misspeaks that Paul wanted to clear up for our listeners. First, they have had Prophet on the full sound, but it was before the system had 6 subs and a new horn-loaded top section. What Paul really wants is a re-do with Prophet on the full stack!
