Ask Electric Forest to NOT Book Diplo in 2022 [Call to Action]

Electric Forest is set to be held June 23- June 26, 2022 after a 2 year hiatus. The festival has announced that the remainder of available tickets for 2022 will go on sale this Friday, December 10 at 10 AM Eastern.

The ticket sale announcement and previous trends lead Forest Family members to speculate a line-up announcement in the very near future.

We invite all Forest Family members to join us in our request of Electric Forest to not include known abuser, Diplo, on the 2022 line-up. Simply copy the letter, follow the links to the email addresses listed bellow, include how many years you’ve attended Electric Forest in the third section and press send!

To Whom it Will Concern,

I am writing in regards to Electric Forest`s pending 2022 line-up announcement. Diplo, featured on the 2020 line up, has a long know reputation of sexual exploitation and predatory behavior. His actions do not align with Electric Forest as an inclusive and safe experience for the Forest Family.

Diplo is currently under investigation for criminal acts against young girls and women.  It is of concern that a festival, with as massive influence as EF, would rebook Diplo with this knowledge. 

I am an X time attendee of EF. Unfortunately, I will have to reconsider my plans to attend in 2022 if Diplo and Major Lazer are on the line-up.

The endorsement of Diplo would enable him to continue his abuse of power. It would allow him to further silence, intimidate, and accumulate victims. Consequently, EF would be an accomplice to the status quo opposed to the inspirational and intentional event it claims to be. 

I urge EF to end any and all affiliation with Diplo and stand with those who he has silenced. At best because the right thing to do is to not support a known abuser; at worst because it will simplify future public relation matters. 

This is not the first time nor will it be the last time someone will come forward in regards to Diplo.

Please take this into sincere consideration. There are countless musical artists who are not known abusers and better represent the Forest Family. 

I urge Electric Forest to choose to be on the right side of history.
