Deset Dwellers Scheduled to Dwell in a Park on July 10 [Show Preview]
For one night and one night only, Desert Dwellers will grace Harmony Park Music Garden in Southern Minnesota with its psychedelic world sound. The producer duo is known for its refined blend of deep bass, eclectic percussions, smooth sounds and trippy traces of soothing vocals.
Amani Friend and Trevor Moontribe have performed and produced together for over 20 years. The producers have performed everywhere from Burning Man to yoga studios to Portugal and now at the Midwest’s favorite music garden.
Admission to the event includes four unique musical acts and one night of camping. Support for the show will be provided by Tropidelic, More Than Lights Hip-Hop Showcase, The Immaculate Beings, and Rootz Within.
Tyler Renny of Rootz Within shared, “We’re looking forward to it all–the familiar faces, the high caliber line up and being at Harmony Park. It’s been so long!” Rootz Within, a reggae-jam band, is a regular name at the venue and will get the party started for the day. The following two performances will consist of More Than Lights Hip-Hop Showcase and The Immaculate Beings. Tropidelic will be tasked to set the mood for fans as they prepare to transcend into the grounding yet simultaneously elevating, musical experience that is Desert Dwellers.
If one night at the venue isn’t enough, early camping passes are available for Friday night. Attendees can also purchase additional passes such as RV camping or car camping at the Harmonium. Otherwise, attendees should plan to pitch a tent or hang a hammock under the 300-year-old oak trees. For those who plan to bring a hammock, please be mindful of the trees and bring cardboard, pool noodles or towels to prevent damage to the tree’s bark.
The single-day festival is the second of three events hosted by Groove Productions for its Summer in the Park series. The final event will take place on July 24 with a headline performance by Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band. Tickets can be purchased for the show here.
