OG This Is Perfect Harmony fam got to enjoy an evening sipping brews with The Last Revel at Mankato Brewery on Friday, November 3. This talented trio’s unique fusion of folk, bluegrass, and rock is the perfect blend creating soulful sound for an intimate setting.

November 4- Spencer Brown

Spencer Brown guarantees an unmissable exploration of beats to Union rooftop at the start of this month. Think innovative and dynamic as this set anticipates a night brimming with infectious vitality and ceaseless dancing. If you haven’t heard of Spencer Brown, catch him with tracks featuring melodic and progressive house favorites Ben Bohmer, Luttrell, and Ilan Bluestone.

November 4- Twin Cities Record Show

Not a concert, but an event to check out for the vinyl collectors! The Twin Cities Record Show happened to fall on the first Saturday of the month from 12-4 p.m. It’s your chance to explore a treasure trove of music memorabilia. Best of all, admission to this music lover’s paradise is absolutely free. Shoutout to Minneapolis Cider Co. and The Haralson Room for a day spent crate-digging, nostalgia, and discovering your next favorite album!

November 10- Low & High 5 Year Anniversary

Get ready for the standing ovations as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of Low & High in style on Friday, November 10! This sensational event boasts a stellar lineup featuring headliners Bleep Bloop, Thelem, cntrlla, and ObeyGrey. Beyond the music, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere with Clown Glass vending and live painters Taylor Nelson and Art of Yolk! Join us at the Lumbar Exchange building in Minneapolis for a night of sonic and creative inspiration that’s not to be missed!

November 10- Mechanix

It’s the second Friday of the month so you know what that means! The November release of Mechanix consists of Modest, Greensky, Fervor, and Cosmic Bitch. All powered by Champion Sound on the Void Rigs, this show delivers a gnarly evening of drum and bass and jungle.

November 11- The Motet

Check out The Motet’s highly anticipated performance at Amsterdam Bar in St. Paul on Saturday, November 11. Renowned for their infectious blend of funk, soul, and jam, The Motet promises an eclectic night of sound. Adding to the excitement, the talented Yam Yam will be opening the show, setting the stage for an evening filled with groovy energy. November 11- Cosmic Synergy & Unified Theory Collective Presents: MERGE

Kuddos to the Twin Cities’ newest edition of sound system culture! MERGE is a monthly music and art show benefiting Unified Theory Collective, a indigenous owned company in the heart of Minneapolis enabling creativity to combat social crisis. The evening will consists of music from Katalyst, Snake Blood, Dumpling,  DeadMusik, Pharasoa, Renno, and Dubski Lx. This community based event is an alcohol free zone with all proceeds going directly to Unified Theory Collective.

November 15- Boombox

Boombox gives Fine Line a hump day treat by the middle of the month. Known for their signature blend of rock, electronic, and soul, Boombox delivers quite the unforgettable live performance. Opening the show is the talented Tep No, adding a touch of their unique sound to the evening. Join us for a midweek musical adventure filled with groovy beats and captivating melodies. November 15- Bumpin Uglies

November 17/18- Ternion Sound x The Widdler Present: ‘Found Spaces’

Ternion Sound and The Widdler will conclude their highly-anticipated US tour with a dynamic two-night performance in Minneapolis. The event will insist an electrifying showcase of dubstep and bass music, featuring an insane bill including Introspekt, Jen Symmetry, Neuromancer, Visages, Medicine Place, and Bee Skee. These artists will bring their unique flavor and epic proportions to The Pourhouse for a two-night hometown run.

November 18- Dirtwire / Josh Teed

November 19- Jonas Brothers

Ooooh this is an S.O.S! Pop sensations, The Jonas Brothers, take over St. Paul’s Xcel Energy on Saturday November 19. Your inner child is screaming it wants to take a trip to the Year 3000 to figure out if anything’s changed or if people actually live underwater!

November 24- Anklepants

Minneapolis is about to get real weird as the artistic guru Anklepants hits The Pourhouse. Joining this unique act are the talented opening acts Betafuse, Xavier Leblanc, and Toffler, creating a lineup that caters to cutting-edge experimental music taste and performance art.

November 25- Megan Hamilton

Feeling a night out spent getting down on the dance floor? Join another hometown hero Saturday, November 25 at Fine Line. Megan Hamilton and The Sponges, with the dynamic opening act Mntra, will throw quite the house music spectacle! The energy rom this trio of artists fuse electronic, funk, and soul elements promising an engaging performance!

The Varsity Theatre took groovy to a whole other level as the mysterious and funky band, Here Comes The Mummies, took the stage Sunday night. October 3 – The Brook & The Bluff

The Brook & The Bluff and Bendigo Fletcher serenaded Fine Line at the start of the month. If you haven’t heard of them, The Brook & The Bluff are known for their soulful harmonies and indie-folk sound. October 4 – Matt and Kim

Olivia Rodrigo fans gather in the heart of Minneapolis at Fine Line for the latest album “GUTS” from the pop princess herself. October 6 – Le Youth

The Haralson Room is ready to get steamy as Le Youth showcases his “About Us” album tour. The This Never Happened artist has been hitting a new mark in his career by igniting the dance floor with a 360 set. October 7 – Darkness Day

Surly Brewing Co. delivers yet again a proper party of the year, for the best price of all.. It’s free! Rage to an array of punk and metal over loud sound systems all while sipping some heady brews. Catch you in the pit with headliner The Vandals, along with support from The Giraffes, Codefendants, Mary Jam, Pierre, Impaler, Cymothea, and God Came From Space.

October 7 – Wu Tang Clan & Nas

An absolute epic collision of hip-hop takes over Target Center on October 7. Minneapolis is in for a night of unparalleled as two trailblazers, Nas and Wu-Tang Clan grace the stage. With their vast catalog of timeless classics, this concert promises to be a monumental event that hip-hop aficionados won’t want to miss. This tour stop will undoubtedly go down in rap history.

October 8 – Low & High presents OVERLOWD 005

The Sunday scaries got a whole lot less scary thanks to Low & High. Located on the LynLake Brewery rooftop, OVERLOWD 005 features Rez, MixedMind, Jen Symmetry, and Pathfynder. A marvelous evening with sunset views, community, and sound system culture. This is a free event. However, this lineup is straight gas and sold out when opened to the community to sign up for tickets. 

October 12 – Bahamas

A harmonious night awaits as the Bahamas and Fortunate Ones bless First Avenue. With the smooth melodies of the Bahamas and the captivating tunes of Fortunate Ones, it’ll be a concert of delightful journey through folk and indie sounds. Don’t miss out on these talented acts that will create a memorable and melodic experience for all in attendance.

October 14 – Easybaked

The Pourhouse is set to host an electrifying night of music featuring a dynamic lineup of artists. Easybaked, known for their genre-blurring sound, will take the stage alongside Tiedye Ky, whose music weaves intricate melodies with infectious beats. Vide will bring their unique sonic sound waves to the mix, creating an immersive experience for the audience. And don’t miss Buxaplenty, a fan fav for the local underground scene.

October 14 – Fleetmac Wood

On the same evening a couple blocks away, Fine Line is entertaining an event featuring Fleetmac Wood. This renowned cover band is known for their captivating remixes of Fleetwood Mac’s classics. Old soul music lovers can anticipate a night of unique music, where classic rock melodies merge seamlessly with contemporary beats. Plan to be transported into a world where the past and present converge through innovative sounds.

October 14 – Zhu

And for another banger of a show on the same evening, you can catch Zhu at The Armory! With Noizu opening the show, the audience can expect a thrilling blend of electronic beats and immersive visuals. This might be a tough weekend to chose from, but either show you go with, it definitely won’t miss. 

October 20 – Mechanix

Powered by Champion Sound, this takeover will have the city of Minneapolis bumpin’ on a Friday night! This local underground community is a monthly dance party featuring drum and bass, jungle, and bass music. In the October edition you can catch This Is Perfect Harmony favorite Pathfynder, as well as Blazz, Frog Milk, and Nato!

October 27 & 28 – Ganja White Night

Wobbleween is back for the spookiest weekend of the year. Check out The Armory for a stacked two-night lineup of absolute mayhem. With some legendary OG electronic dons to new school icons, the dance floor will be bumping with top of the line sound and met with mesmerizing visuals.

October 27 – Skalloween

Skalloween is set to bring a night of ska-filled excitement to Turf Club. With a stellar lineup featuring the grooves of Space Monkey Mafia, the lively tunes of The Prizefighters, the soulful rhythms of The Bishops, the high-energy performance of Runaway Ricochet, and the skankin’ sounds of The Skalectric Company. Plus this venue deserves all the recognition it so righteously deserves. (Pro-tips about Turf Club: their kitchen is excellent and you’ll never have to wait in line for the bathroom!)

October 28 – Neil Frances

Later on this month, Neil Frances will grace the stage at Fine Line. This dynamic duo is known for their smooth blend of electronic and indie pop. Music enthusiasts can anticipate a performance filled with groovy rhythms and catchy melodies that will keep the crowd dancing all night long. 

October 29 – Dope Lemon

Every vinyl collector has a record or two from this dreamy soulful performer. Dope Lemon takes the stage at First Avenue on October 29. With Franklin Jonas kicking things off, it’s bound to be an evening of diverse musical talent that will leave the audience enchanted. Mark your calendar for an unforgettable night of musical resonance.

October 30 – Emo Orchestra featuring Hawthorne Heights

The Fitzgerald Theatre is about to host an unforgettable night of emotional intensity with the Emo Orchestra, featuring Hawthorne Heights. Brace yourself for an evening that’s sure to tug at the heartstrings as the orchestra breathes new life into beloved emo anthems.

October 31 – Tool @ Xcel Energy

Prepare for a Halloween night like no other as the legendary progressive metal band Tool descends upon the Xcel Energy Center. September 8 – Ween

An evening with infectious anthems and brews? It doesn’t get much better than that. The legendary rock band, Ween, will be taking over Surly Brewing Co. on the second Friday of the month of September. With psychedelic rhythms to witty lyrics, an evening with Ween will leave the atmosphere quite electric.

September 9 – Mae Simpson

Get ready for a night out on the town with powerhouse vocals and depth ranging from funk, to rock, to folk. Mae Simpson and her band will be performing the debut of their latest release, “Chandlier & Bloom,” at their home-based Twin Cities’ venue, Fine Line. The evening will also receive support from artists alike, Nur-d and The Get Together.

September 9 – Jai Wolf

We can’t be the only ones excited to check out the newly renovated Uptown Theatre and this will be the perfect show to make it happen. Jai Wolf and his support from EVAN GIIA, and MYRNE are ready to take Minneapolis by a storm, leaving us dancing the night away to some future bass and indie-focused melodies.

September 9 – Gentleman’s Club

Listen folks, hearing Gentleman’s Club drop “Dum Dee Dum” (like it was 2014 all over again) at main stage during Infrasound had me waiting for more before their set was even over. The dance floor is all set to go off absolutely bloody bonkers as this evening at The Pourhouse will also host American Grime, Moonsplatta, and Koster.

September 11 – Janelle Monae

Join The Armory for a night of transcending inspiration as soulful Janelle Monae takes the stage. This Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has made waves in music using hip-hop, funk, soul to create theatrical artistic entertainment. She is iconic; she is legendary; and she deserves all the standing ovations the Twin Cities can give her.

September 13 – Moon Hooch

Highlight it! Star it! Put it down on the calendar! Moon Hooch is about to have the Turf Club basking in a horn infused trance. The trios unconventional style has taken them from tunnel platforms in NYC to classic venues across the country. If you’re a real one, you could have also caught Moon Hootch last night on our very own “This Is A Radio Show.” The chat was lit! (And so it will be on the dance floor!)

September 15 – Ashnikko

This upcoming performance at The Fillmore promises to bring the heat. Known for her bold style, energy, and attitude, Ashnikko is sure to deliver an unforgettable show at The Fillmore. Get ready to dance and sing along to her chart-topping tracks in an exhilarating live experience!

September 20 – The Disco Biscuits

This mid-week hump day just took it up several notches as The Disco Biscuits make their way into town. First Avenue gets ready to take on notably everyone’s favorite jam band. If you’re looking to enjoy an evening with playful reels and experimental sound, The Disco Biscuits are it.

September 21 – Infrasound Equinox

The Fall Equinox will have our local bass scene returning home to Harmony Park on the third weekend of the month. This year’s lineup consists of an array of talented focusing in on IDM, drum and bass, and experimental. The ten year anniversary of Infrasound Equinox will have fan faves consisting of but not limited to: Caspa, Ternion Sound, Sicaria, Monty, Kursa, and Truth.

If you’re in attendance be sure to catch local talent Alpinist, Skavi, Wicker’s Portal, and more. (This is how to say you love Culminate Presents without having to say it but here we are saying it..)

September 23 – Explosions In the Sky

Get ready to trade your Saturday night plans for an epic audio adventure as Explosions In The Sky rocks out the legendary First Avenue in Minneapolis on September 23. You sure can bet this instrumental rock band will turn this city into a sonic supernova.

September 23 – Valis Alps

Just next door at 7th St Entry, this indie-electronic duo will transcend their dreamy soundscapes. Valis Alps released a new album last month titled “Cleave” but you probably know them best by their remix to “Hallucinogenics.” If you’re unfamiliar and you’re into synths, melodic downtempo, and powerful vocals, this concert is for you.

September 23 – Gus Dapperton

And down the block at Fine Line, Gus Dapperton aims to deliver his signature style. Their sound blends between indie pop and alternative with heartfelt catchy lyrics. Could be a cute date night out with a special someone.

September 24 – Bishop Briggs and MisterWives

Wow! This is Perfect Harmony loves to see an all female curated event (and you should too!) Cap off your weekend on a Sunday night at First Avenue with The Don’t Look Down Tour featuring special guest, Rafaella. Truly can’t get much more blissful than an evening spent with female singer-songwriters.

September 24 – The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie

Two names you probably haven’t heard in awhile but your younger self would absolutely die to be in your shoes at this tour stop. The Armory hosts The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie for an evening spent in blissed out nostalgia. Dust off the Osiris shoes babe; time to get moody and cry this one out.

September 29 – Barry Can’t Swim

If you haven’t been to a Dance Agenda party this summer, well you’re missing out. This local house team is notorious for bringing an act before they blow up and Barry Can’t Swim will be yet another. Grab the besties, a bubble gun, and your party pants! Show up early and take it to The Hideout dance floor with local support from abel. and JOE WEM.

September 30 – moe.

Last but certainly not least, give it up for the improvisational astounding jam band. moe. delivers quite the set list of exploration and experimentation of extended jam sessions during their live performances. If you’re in need of a night out consisting of live music, check out First Avenue on September 30 as this one is your best bet.

They won’t be the one crying in the club and actually prefer to run away from emotion. Gemini’s two-heads tend to take us on a carousel of smoke and mirrors. However, whether you want the tea or take on a new skill, there’s a chance it’s a Gemini friend spilling the inspiration for and to you.

Twin Cities’ dubstep rising star, Eylxr, finds herself on the first astro series playlist due to being a Gemini of many talents. If you’re not familiar with Eylxr just yet, their sound is mysteriously dark and they also co-own a clothing and tea line, called Roots & Branches. Another underground bass artist receiving tribute in the series goes by the name of Haven Woods. Everyone wish the Ethreal Collective King a Happy Birthday by listening to his annual compilation project, Gemini SZN.

Of course you’re familiar with the Queen of Rock herself, Stevie Nicks. Slaying her way to the top, our witchy lord and savior has provided the Universe some of our favorite lyrics of all time. Thank you Mercury for gifting us this Gemini Queen. Another talented singer-songwriter, Tash Sultana celebrates their birthday under this star sign- as well as the daddy of bass and funk, Griz. And last but certainly not least, my personal go-to karaoke artist, Alanis Morissette. Give it up to this icon for reminding us to keep it cool with one hand in our pocket, and another one giving a peace sign.
